Isanagosan Mountain

Isanagosan Mountain, located in Mineyama Town, has a height of 661 meters, and is famous for being the mountain where the “Swan Maiden,” one of the 7 beauties in Kyotango, landed.
This mountain is the origin for the oldest Japanese legend of the Swan Maiden.
At the midslope of this mountain is “Meike (Woman Pond)” where the maiden is said to have bathed. There is a monument at the peak, with a magnificent view of Mt. Ooe and Amanohashidate. If you visit the Otome-Jinja Shrine at the base of the mountain, it is said that you will be blessed with a beautiful daughter.
