Ikuno Ginzan

Experience the romance and history of this
1200 year old silver mine.

Here is one of Japan’s best-known mines with a history of 1200 years. It was said that Silver had been mined in such an abundance that it seemed the earth was made of silver. You can enjoy a 40-minute walk through the old mine, but make sure to bring a jacket because the temperature is around 13 degrees (Celsius) year around. There is also a restaurant whose specialty is “Ikuno Hayashi-rice!”
